We are pleased to inform you that starting October 13th, the Common Study Room will also be available in the evenings (through a separate entrance by the stairs). The Room, located on the first floor of the Library building, functions as both the Library’s computer room and the archive for our periodicals. This space is exclusively available to students of the College of Europe of current promotion during the designated hours.
Please take note of the following opening hours, operating rules, and regulations.
Current availability of the Common Study Room:
Monday-Friday from 19:00 till the next day
Weekends from Saturday 18:00 till Monday 08:00
Terms and conditions:
- Students cannot remove any of the books from the Library and use them in the Common Study Room without first checking them out at the Loan Desk (ground floor). Periodicals stored in the Common Study Room cannot be removed.
- The Common Study Room is a silent study room; please respect your fellow students.
- Smoking and any use of fire in the building is strictly forbidden. Consumption of food and beverages is not permitted.
- Use of heating devices must be done with the utmost care and attention. If heaters are used, they must be turned off by the last student leaving the Common Study Room. It is students’ responsibility to maintain safety.
- Books left on the tables in the Common Study Room will be re-shelved by Library Staff the following day if they are not accompanied by consultation slip.
- It is the students’ responsibility to turn off all computers and lights when leaving.
- The Library is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the Common Study Room. We strongly recommend not leaving valuable objects overnight.
- Students cannot remove any electronic devices available in the Common Study Room.
- Students are responsible for maintaining tidiness in the Common Study Room and should clean up after themselves.
Should the rules be violated the Common Study Room will be closed.
